Colonoscopy

Colonoscopy is a test used to screen for cancer risk and to diagnose conditions such as bleeding, and inflammatory bowel disease. Also used to remove polyps, it involves a tiny fiber optic camera, which is inserted into the colon and advanced to the beginning of the small intestine. The test is administered at the St. Cloud Surgical Center under mild sedation.
